Well, it was really only half of a work day. Yesterday we took to Palmetto Point Gospel Chapel, our home church here in Eleuthera, and tackled the floors. The plan was to re-tile the fellowship hall/Sunday school room/children’s church area (it’s a multi-use area, lol).
But, as in any tiling job, we had to get [...]
Well, days 2 and 3 of this week’s work projects flew by. We had some sore muscles and rain along the way, but we’ve been making quite an impact. By the end of day 3, the team completed painting and hanging the entrance gate, finished the incinerator build, built, sanded and painted 10 new benches, [...]
Yesterday kicked off our spring break work week on the Windermere campus. We’re tackling projects like building new benches for the cafeteria/music room, painting in the girls dorm, fixing up the entrance area, and some concrete work.
We’re blessed to have Ryan Flunker’s parents and a team from their home church up north visiting the [...]
March was a great month! We have had many things going on but loving every minute of it!
At Windermere
For starters, way back in February, Melissa got to take three students to the Eleuthera Spelling Bee where all the school finalists from the surrounding area came [...]
Junkanoo was such as exciting event. We had such a great experience at Eleuthera’s Junkanoo in Governor’s Harbour. From what we understand, Junkanoo is a parade/music/dance/event that celebrates the Bahamian people and their culture. Isaac is ready to participate, but he’ll have to wait until he’s in primary school next year.
The crowds [...]
We just wanted to share a quick praise about the Young Life Bible Group that started yesterday (Wednesday) after school.
It was AMAZING!!!
We cannot begin to tell you how excited, refreshed, and energized we are to be leading Young Life here on campus – a group that will hopefully become a truly [...]
Basketball season is upon us. Well, it’s been upon us here in Eleuthera for a month or two – we’ve had a few scrimages, a few practices, and a tournament to help us prepare for the actual season.
We’re still getting used to the sports seasons around here. But anyway, enjoy the pictures and videos [...]
Today was just one of those days where you look back and think, “Man, this was such a great day!”
We woke up sort of early, but we woke up rested. (Isaac still hasn’t learned how to sleep past 7am) We had had a wonderful time together as a family at the park where [...]
Hello again everyone from Eleuthera!
We’re still going strong after our nice, long Christmas break! We are still feeling refreshed thanks to our visit back to Texas where we got to spend time with our family and friends. What a blessing that was to be able to see everyone! If we didn’t have the opportunity [...]
Wow, we had such an exciting time this past Saturday as we enjoyed some great Christmas activities with our friends at the Leon Levy Plant Preserve in Eleuthera. We had a great time of crafts. Isaac got to glue glitter on Rudolph, we got to make a sea shell candle holder, Isaac ma d an [...]

Prayer Requests & Praises
*Pray that God will provide what we need, either a customs exemption or enough money, to clear the materials and supplies for this summer's mission work with the teams. Right now it's stuck at the airport customs office.*Pray that Young Life will continue to be interesting and engaging to the students, and that we will be able to challenge them to truly grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. *Praise - Isaac and Melissa had a great time visiting the Haitian community in northern Eleuthera. Isaac made some fast friends. And the mission team during spring break has been a wonderful time and tremendous success!*Praise/Prayer - The school year is almost over. Praise that the year has been so great, but pray for the final two months to finish strong, us and the students.*Continue to pray that we're able to handle the summer mission teams. Summer is right around the corner, and there are about 10-12 (or possibly more) teams coming to us at Windermere. That's a lot of help, but there's a lot of prep to be done as well.
